I wrote this last week. Thank goodness Blue has recovered from his laminitis incident, that was challenging! 🐴♥️🐴

Cancer is a result of an already taxed immune system and a side effect of an unhealthy body. Cancer does not come suddenly out of nowhere, but breeds in a body which is already out of imbalance.

I am learning so much from my horse Blue and his journey with cancer of the eyelid: squamous cell carcinoma. He was diagnosed in April of this year. Since then he has had multiple health issues. In all honesty it’s totally exhausting the hours of care I’m giving to him for months now. This last bout with laminitis has been a huge wake up call to how an already compromised immune system easily breaks down when cancer is present.

This has been my day to day life for five months now: I feed the horses 3X a day (this is totally normal as a horse owner so nothing is different in this schedule). Blue gets a special diet designed to strengthen his immune system with a twice daily mixture of: Timothy pellets, flax seeds, millet, kelp, circumin, speedi beets, coolstance copra, vitamins, colloidal silver, various herbal concoctions for eye cancer, salt and fairy dust. 🧚‍♀️ Both horses get hay daily and graze on the land here.

For the last three months on and off he’s had an inflamed bum due to pin worms, fly bites or some other itchy situation. For months I’ve been washing his big horsey butt by hand as he’s had wounds there from scratching. I’m trying to get to the bottom (Ha!) of the culprit of this through washing him, fecal tests and diligent care.

Last week I found him lying down, unable to get up and having tremendous pain walking. LAMINITIS! 😱 After a vet visit with xrays and spending another chunk of money on herbs & hoof boots to get him out of this inflamed state I’m diligently attending him and hoping this passes soon. He’s still on bute (painkiller). The sole of his hoof is very thin, which is causing the pain. Thankfully, I’m told by my lovely farrier & vet that this episode could be worse.

All of these incidents are the result of an immune system out of balance.

My journey with cancer was triggered when I worked on a flower farm in Kauai when I was 31 years old.

Flowers that were shipped to Ca had to be dipped in toxic chemicals. I started getting harsh headaches and then realized too late that the toxins were affecting me. I started having issues with my thyroid right after that.

Flash forward some years later with a traumatic event that occurred with my ex husband, my best friend sick with leukemia & being one of her caregivers for 22 months and then dying (total exhaustion & heartbreak), letting go of my house and business, a betrayal and death of my dog right in the same month my friend died and you’ve got the perfect storm for breeding cancer. ⛈

Emotional trauma and a cancer diagnosis go hand in hand. It’s common for a cancer diagnosis to be given a year or so out from a trauma. It was no surprise to receive a stage 3 breast cancer diagnosis after all of this physical toxicity and emotional strain.

Blue is teaching me that all these maladies are a result of a severely imbalanced body. My own journey taught me that the emotional pain I experienced manifested as a large tumor over my heart. The tumor was ingenious to grow over my broken heart. It was trying to protect me from the cancer which was trying to take over my body.

If you’re struggling with a physical illness whether it be cancer, arthritis, Lyme disease or whatever it may be, why do you think imbalance in your immune system manifested? Please share!

Emotional and physical health go hand in hand, it’s all connected. The key is to find the points that unite and heal the division. Illness can be a magnificent gift to dive into deep healing.
